The first time to watch ballet, and it's the first time i learned the whole story about The Nutcracker. The show was good, the stage settings, the dance, the costumes, the Tchaikovsky's music together made a perfect night.

Paksen invited me to her house party on Christmas and it's a very pleasant and hea-able one..lotta fun too~

And unexpectedly I got some nice Christmas presents, and I bought myself sth, too:
My 2008 ended happily.
Following here is some info about Thomas Heatherwick I searched from the Internet:
Thomas Heatherwick (born 1 March 1970) is an English designer, often mislabelled as a sculptor or artist. He is known for innovative use of engineering and materials in public monuments.
Thomas Heatherwick describes himself as a three-dimensional designer. Considered “UK’s brightest young designer” in Icon magazine, an extraordinary selection of projects ranging from public art with England’s tallest sculpture, to a bag collection for Longchamps, a rolling footbridge and a collection about ideas for the Conran foundation, has been invented and produced by him.
His projects are diverse, innovative and breathtaking each in their own individual way.
Quite good looking actually...haa
Born in London, he studied three dimensional design at Manchester Polytechnic and at the Royal College of Art, winning several prizes. Shortly after graduating from the Royal College of Art after a two-year furniture MA course in 1994, he was commissioned by Harvey Nichols department store in Knightsbridge to design a temporary structure for the shop's facade.
Heatherwick's design was a ribbon of laminated wood that wound through the storefront windows. The design was widely acclaimed and won him a D&AD yellow pencil (the gold award) in 1996.
He founded Thomas Heatherwick Studio (now called just Heatherwick Studio) in 1994 with his aim being "to bring architecture, design and sculpture together within a single practice".
Surprisingly, even the Hong Kong Southorn Playground in Wan Chai is also the work by Thomas Heatherwick!!! ( surprise 在修頓咁唔浮誇, 真係唔講唔知原來係佢嘅作品囉~) The followings are others notable projects by him:
B of the Bang, Manchester
